Devalaya Legal
Terms and Conditions
These Terms govern your use of Devalaya and the temple, devotional and fulfilment services made available through the Platform.
Last updated: 17 August 2026
Puja Video Availability
Video or photographic proof is not available for every Puja. Availability depends on the Temple, Pandit, service, recording permissions and circumstances at the Temple.
Prasadam Dispatch
Prasadam preparation and dispatch are subject to the Temple. Jatra, festivals, cultural events, heavy devotee volume and unavoidable circumstances may cause additional delay.
Welcome to Devalaya. Devalaya is owned and operated by Anek Technologies Private Limited. By accessing or using Devalaya, you agree to the Terms described below.
1. About Devalaya
Devalaya is a spiritual-technology platform operated by Anek Technologies Private Limited. The Platform enables devotees to discover temples and access religious and devotional services offered through participating temples, priests and authorised service partners.
Depending on availability, services may include Puja and Seva, Prasadam, Chadhava, Homa, temple events, special religious services, temple information and other devotional services introduced from time to time.
2. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing Devalaya, creating an account, placing a booking or using any service on the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions together with the Privacy Policy and other applicable service-specific policies.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Platform or make a booking through Devalaya.
3. Eligibility and User Accounts
Users making purchases or bookings must be legally competent to enter into the relevant transaction under applicable law. Where a booking is made for another person, the user confirms that they are authorised to provide the information necessary for that booking.
Users are responsible for providing accurate account, contact, devotee and delivery information and for maintaining the security of their account and OTP-based access.
4. Temple and Religious Services
Devalaya facilitates access to religious services performed at or through participating temples, priests, Pandits and authorised service partners.
Religious practices, procedures, materials, duration and ritual methods differ from temple to temple. The concerned Temple or Pandit may determine the appropriate manner of performing a Puja, Seva, Chadhava, Homa or other religious service in accordance with temple traditions, local customs and prevailing circumstances.
5. Puja and Seva Bookings
Before confirming a booking, users should verify the Temple, service, date where applicable, devotee information, Sankalpa details, inclusions and amount payable.
A booking is treated as confirmed only after successful payment verification and creation or communication of the relevant booking confirmation.
Temple schedules may change because of festivals, Jatra, special rituals, administrative instructions, crowd conditions, temple closures, weather or other circumstances beyond Devalaya's reasonable control.
6. Puja Videos, Photographs and Digital Proof
Video, photograph or other digital proof is not guaranteed for every Puja or religious service.
The availability of such content depends upon the particular Temple, Pandit, service, temple rules, recording permissions, technical feasibility and the circumstances prevailing at the Temple on the day of performance.
A religious service may be validly and successfully performed even where a video or photograph cannot be recorded, received or delivered.
Where video or photographic confirmation is specifically stated as an included feature of a service, Devalaya will make reasonable efforts to obtain and provide it. However, unavoidable Temple, Pandit or technical circumstances may still affect availability or delivery timelines.
7. Sankalpa, Name and Gotra Information
Certain services may require the devotee's name, Gotra, Rashi, Nakshatra, family member details or other Sankalpa information. Users are responsible for entering such information accurately.
Devalaya will endeavour to communicate the information provided by the user to the relevant Temple or service partner where required for performance of the booked service.
8. Chadhava and Sacred Offerings
Chadhava and other sacred offerings are facilitated according to the service description, Temple practice and local availability.
The appearance, quantity, arrangement or exact composition of an offering may reasonably vary according to Temple requirements, religious custom and availability of materials.
9. Prasadam
Prasadam availability, preparation, quantity, packaging and dispatch are subject to the practices and operational conditions of the concerned Temple.
Images shown on the Platform may be representative. The exact appearance, composition or quantity may vary according to Temple custom, religious occasion and availability.
Users with food allergies, dietary restrictions or other sensitivities should exercise appropriate care before consuming Prasadam.
10. Prasadam Dispatch and Delivery Delays
Devalaya endeavours to facilitate Prasadam dispatch and delivery as efficiently as possible, but dispatch timing is strictly subject to the concerned Temple's preparation and availability.
During Jatra, major festivals, temple anniversaries, cultural or religious events, special occasions, unusually high devotee volume, local restrictions or other unavoidable circumstances, preparation and dispatch may take longer than usual.
Such reasonable delays do not by themselves mean that the booking has failed or that the Temple has not fulfilled the religious service.
After dispatch, delivery timelines may additionally depend on India Post, courier, logistics conditions, weather, public holidays, destination accessibility and other circumstances outside Devalaya's direct control.
11. Delivery Information
Users must provide a complete and accurate recipient name, mobile number, address, city or district, state and PIN code.
Devalaya is not responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused primarily by incorrect, incomplete or outdated information supplied by the user.
12. Events, Homas and Special Religious Services
Temple events, Homas, festival services and special programmes may be governed by Temple calendars, Tithi, religious practices, capacity limitations and administrative decisions.
Timings, procedures or dates may change when required by the concerned Temple or because of circumstances beyond reasonable control.
13. Prices and Payments
The amount payable for a service will be displayed before booking confirmation. Applicable service, fulfilment, tax or other charges will be presented at checkout where relevant.
Payments may be processed through authorised third-party payment providers. A booking is confirmed only after successful payment verification and booking creation.
14. Cancellation, Rescheduling and Refunds
Cancellation, rescheduling and refund eligibility depend upon the nature and status of the particular service.
Temple services often require advance arrangements, ritual materials and coordination with Temples or Pandits. Cancellation may therefore not be possible after preparation or performance has commenced.
Where Devalaya or the concerned Temple is unable to perform a confirmed service, Devalaya may, depending on the circumstances, arrange rescheduling, provide a suitable alternative or process an eligible refund.
The separate Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy form part of these Terms.
15. Religious and Spiritual Disclaimer
Devalaya respects the faith, traditions and beliefs associated with all participating Temples and devotional services.
Booking a Puja, receiving Prasadam, making a Chadhava, participating in a Homa or using another religious service does not constitute a guarantee of any specific spiritual, personal, financial, matrimonial, professional, health, astrological or other outcome.
Devalaya facilitates devotional and religious services. Spiritual experiences and beliefs are personal to each devotee.
16. Temple Information
Devalaya may publish information concerning Temples, deities, history, traditions, significance, architecture, timings, festivals and related matters.
We endeavour to keep this information accurate, but Temple information may change and historical or religious interpretations may vary among traditions and sources.
17. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Use
Users must not misuse Devalaya for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or unauthorised purposes, interfere with Platform security, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious software, misuse Temple or devotee information, impersonate another person or infringe the rights of Devalaya or third parties.

Temple names, deity images, third-party logos and other materials may belong to their respective owners.
19. Reviews and User Content
Users remain responsible for reviews, ratings, photographs, feedback or other content they submit. Content must not be unlawful, knowingly false, defamatory, abusive, obscene, discriminatory or infringing.
20. Third-Party Services
Devalaya may rely on Temples, priests, Pandits, payment providers, logistics providers, communication services and technology providers to fulfil parts of a transaction.
Certain aspects of a service may therefore also be subject to the operational requirements of those third parties.
21. Privacy
Personal information is handled according to the Devalaya Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Information necessary to fulfil a service may be shared with the relevant Temple, Pandit, payment processor, logistics provider or service provider to the extent reasonably necessary for fulfilment.
22. Platform Availability
Devalaya endeavours to provide reliable Platform access but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, internet disruption, technical failures, third-party failures or security incidents may temporarily affect access.
23. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Devalaya and Anek Technologies Private Limited will not be responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from circumstances beyond their reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts any consumer or other legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
24. Force Majeure
Devalaya will not be treated as being in breach for delay or failure caused by circumstances reasonably beyond its control, including natural disasters, floods, fires, epidemics, government restrictions, Temple closures, Jatra or festival-related restrictions, transport disruption, postal disruption, telecommunications failure or similar events.
25. Changes to Services and Terms
Devalaya may introduce, modify or discontinue services and may update these Terms when required by operational, legal, regulatory or business changes.
The latest version and effective date will be displayed on the Platform.
