Sri Kengal Anjaneya Swamy Temple near Channapattana in Ramanagara district is a revered Hanuman temple located on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway. The name Kengal is connected with the red stone used for the deity, as Kempu means red and Kallu means stone.
